everytime I see a doctor, I get a different response - it's quite frustrating.

one doctor tells me I have ataxia

another says no no it's dystonia

meanwhile both are not convinced the cyst is causing it (right, it's just a coinkydink that it's on my cerebellum and my symptoms match that of a compromised cerebellum - silly me! lol)

what is the the difference does anyone know and how can I tell what I have?

ataxia is when you have no coordination, or problems with it, and dystonia is when your muscles involuntarily move in different directions. you might have both! doctors schmoctors, they are so irritating, aren't they?

doctors are useless (at least in my experience)

I think maybe ataxia but not so sure about dystonia. I am not even completly sure about ataxia. my doctor told me I had it and I should start aerobics so I can improve my balance and coordination and I did it twice and had a HUUUUUUUGe setback with the cyst. my whole body went nuts.

I just don't see how doctors can be so... stubborn/blind. the cyst is on my cerebellum. that's where I get headaches. i have balance and coordination problems as well as cognitive and memory issues. these are the functions that the cerebellum is in charge of. and yet noooooooooo the cyst is just there. your problem is ataxia or most recently dystonia or dystrophy
