| #1 | i've heard these can be dangerous for those with an arachnoid cyst? is that true? does this hurt? and why do so many tests involve needles? did we piss people off at some point? LOL |

| #2 | I ask the same thing. At least when you have a shunt, they no longer have to do spinal taps. They just tap the shunt. But yes, spinal taps, lumbar punctures, anything involving sticking a huge needle in your lumbar spine hurts like hell. Nurses try to numb it with lidocain , but doesn't help a lot.  |

| #5 | well I had symptoms since I was a little kid, but it first showed up on an cat scan and then MRI on july 2007. |

| #7 | it's not for a lack of trying. I kept going to doctors who told me there was nothing they could do or it wasn't the cyst. plus I was really hoping I could just get better. I started out in a wheelchair and now walk with a cane so I thought- just keep getting stronger and go up - but apparently, that doesn't always happen lol |
